In episode 11 of the podcast, I chat with Laura Gannon. Laura and I discuss climate change, and the role planning must play in preventing, adapting and mitigating to climate change.
Laura is Associate Director of Meridian Urban and is a natural hazards planning specialist.
I ask Laura about the upcoming COP26 climate change conference in the UK and what the focus will be. We discuss the latest IPCC report which concluded that global action is needed to avoid significant impacts from climate change. And Laura shares the benefits of cultural burning and how traditional custodians have been successful managing the lands for thousands of years.
